About Intelligence Bureau

Intelligence bureau is India’s domestic internal security and counter-intelligence agency under Ministry of Home Affairs. It was founded in 1887 as Central Special Branch.

Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2022:

Recently, Intelligence Bureau has released 766 vacancies in 11 Non-Gazetted ranks (Group B & Group C) in IB/BoI (MHA) on a Deputation Basis. The last date to apply for the Intelligence Bureau recruitment is 21st August 2022.

The minimum Tenure of deputation will be 3 or 5 years (depending on RRs of the post applied for), further extendable up to a maximum of 7 years and following will be the additional perks that a deputationist would be eligible to receive during hi/her tenure in IB/BoI

  1. Special Security Allowance @20% of basic pay.
  2. 1 month’s extra salary (Basic+da) viz. Cash Compensation in lieu of duties performed on non-working days/ GH (maximum 30days per annum ) for non-gaxetted officials.
  3. Uniform allowance @Rs. 10,000/- per annum if posted in BoI (not IB) and one-time cloathing allowance as admissible if posted at high-altitude stations.
  4. 1-Hometown and 1-all-India LTC package (with dependent famuly nembers ) in 4 year’s block alog with 10 days leave encashment (Basic pay + DA)
  5. Children Education Allowance @Rs 27,000/- per annum per child, if ward resides in a hostel, Hostel subsidy @Rs81, 000/- per annum.
  6. If posted to hardship locations of Bureau, additional allowances e.g. ration money, risk allowance, island allowance, special duty allowance etc. are admissible in addition to regular allowances.
  7. Scholarship is available to meritorious wards of personnel.

Two year’s service in grade level 7 (Rs. 44, 990-1, 42, 400) on regular service.

Assistant Central Intelligence Officer -II/ Executive

Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial

Graduate + Two years experience in security or intelligence work

Desirable: Knowledge of Computers

Officers under Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations.

Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre, or

Five year’s service in grade level 6 (Rs. 35,400-1, 12, 400) on regular service.

Junior Intelligence Officer -I/ Executive

Diploma in Engineering –

Electronics or Electronics and Tele-communication or

Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Electronics or Computer Science or Physics or Mathematics or

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from a Government recognised university

 

Officers under Central Government or State Government

Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre

Or

Employees of Intelligence Bureau with minimum of two year’s service in grade

 

Other important points are:

  1. Only such applications which are complete in all respect and duly forwarded through proper channel will be accepted.
  2. Nominations are invited for deputation, in certain posts which have provision for absorption or permanent transfer of service, the same would be considered based on merits and utility of performance of a deputationist.
