English Language for CLAT 2021

This section will mainly focus upon the reading ability of the students. A 12^th standard student would be able to read, understand and infer the questions provided in this section.

According to the syllabus provided by the consortium of NLUs, the questions in English section would include:

Passages

Current Affairs Including General Knowledge CLAT 2021

This section will mainly focus upon the general knowledge of students related to the current events happening in the social, political and the economic environment around them.

It is recommended that students read the newspaper regularly to crack maximum questions from this section.

There will be around 35-40 questions from this section. Thus, it is necessary to give due importance to this section.

The questions in this section will include:

Passages - The source of passages will be:

• News
• Journalistic sources like legal editorials in the newspaper
• Non-fiction writing like a passage from a book
• Contemporary events taking place in India and the World.
• International news
• After the passage, a series of questions would require the candidate to show his awareness of various aspects of current affairs and general knowledge. This includes:
• Contemporary events of significance from India and the world;
• Arts and culture;
• International affairs; and
• Historical events of continuing significance.

Logical Reasoning CLAT 2021

This section will include:

Passages

The passages may relate to fact situations or scenarios involving legal matters, public policy questions or moral philosophical inquiries. Though, no prior knowledge of law is required for such questions.

The general awareness of contemporary legal and moral issues would help the students to better apply general principles or propositions to the given fact scenarios.

Logical Reasoning CLAT 2021

The Logical Reasoning section of the UG-CLAT 2021 will include:

Quantitative Techniques CLAT 2021

The Quantitative Techniques section of the UG-CLAT 2021 will include:

• short sets of facts or propositions
• graphs
• textual, pictorial or diagrammatic representations of numerical information
• These passages would be followed by a series of questions.
• You will be required to derive information from such passages, graphs, or other representations, and apply mathematical operations on such information.
• The questions will require you to:
• Derive, infer, and manipulate numerical information set out in such passages, graphs, or other representations; and
• Apply various 10th standard mathematical operations on such information, including from areas such as ratios and proportions, basic algebra, mensuration and statistical estimation.
