
About SBI PO Exam
State Bank of India
conducts the exam of SBI PO regularly to elect eligible candidates for the post
of Probationary Officer in various branches of the SBI all over the
country. The post of SBI PO is well sought after considering the perks of
working in the banking sector. All the important information regarding the
eligibility of the candidates or age limit, syllabus of SBI PO are included in

Eligibility for SBI PO exam
Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either:
- A Citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India,
Provided that a candidate
belonging to categories 2, 3, 4 and 5 shall be a person n whose favour a
certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age limit for SBI PO Exam
The minimum and the maximum limit of the age of candidates who can apply for the SBI PO Exam is: 21-30 years of age.

Educational Qualification
for SBI PO Exam
- The minimum qualification for SBI PO exam is: Graduation
- Those who are in the Final Year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally for SBI PO Exam subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination.
SBI PO Pre-Exam Training
Bank may arrange pre-examination training at certain centres for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India.
Candidates belonging to
the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their
own cost may indicate to that effect against relevant column while applying
on-line.
